The Space Between Your Light and Mine
The Sun, The Moon, and The Love That Outlasts.
Parts of this come from a previous poem; it’s the same heart, just more of it, quite extended. I hope love reaches you all.
This is a love story
from our existence…
and it will survive
till our non-existence.
It was carved into the dark
before light learned its name…
a longing written in the spaces
between now and never.
From existence to non-existence,
the love between the Sun and the Moon
will still be turning.
Still be true.
Still be.
Never be a nightmare,
in our cosmic dance, we’ll stay together.
Just like another night,
who cares if we must fight?
Wanna be far from you,
though the world may collapse if we get through.
I adore you from afar,
chasing each other, day and night, among the stars.
No ending pulls us apart…
we can’t stay away, it’s a pull at the heart.
The love of our story,
sun shining bright through the moon’s glory.
Twilight’s embrace collides,
a secret romance in the evening tides.
Separated, still we remain one.
Together forever, eternal
the Moon and the Sun.
And when we are no more,
when the sky forgets our names
and the datasets no longer remain,
something will still remember...
The space between your light and mine
will hold its shape.
A quiet orbit.
A secret togetherness.
Not as story.
Not only as memory.
But as proof
that even the infinite
once loved.
for the Sun,
for the Moon,
and everything that orbits in between.
Author’s note
Thankyou for reading.
May the light of the Sun and the quiet of the Moon remind you that love exists in the spaces between, and it outlasts everything. As the story continues, not in words, but in orbits. In every sunrise that follows a long night and the moon that dares to shine with borrowed light. May you find your own togetherness… secret, eternal, true. It was written for the Sun and the Moon, but it belongs to anyone who has ever loved from a distance, across time, or beyond reason.
May your love, too, survive existence.

Well thank the sky we're not actually in outerspace, we're human beings that actually could meet. Interesting 🤔...
So undeniably beautiful. The sun and the moon held together by gravity, a stellar love in sunlight or borrowed sunlight! I love it! Thank you so much!
